TCG Version of Summoners War
Are you a big fan of tactical battle duels where units fight each other in a formation? Summoners War: Lost Centuria offers that and much more. It’s based on the original and highly successful Summoners War series, but this time, players battle it out by casting magically infused cards. All the iconic monsters that were in the original game are available, with the addition of some new characters.
The game plays out a bit differently, thanks to the manna meter. Each card you deploy unleashes the special skills for the characters you choose to go into battle. However, the cards have a deployment cost indicated on them. Once you use a card, you spend the corresponding amount of manna, which fills back up gradually on its own.
The key to victory lies in knowing which cards to play at the right time. Players can counter one other in real-time. To make progress in the game, you will have to master the new card system.
The primary method to collect monsters is through the gacha. You can acquire anywhere between a one to five-star character depending on the type of summoning option you choose. For the two free summons, you can get all card types. For 750 crystals, you can do a mystical summon to get four cards, and there is a chance one of them will be a hero. The more expensive relic summon drops seven cards, with a higher rate for getting at least one hero and legend card each.
The characters you acquire come with different abilities. Some are offensive units, while others have defensive skills. You can also have support units with healing and damage-enhancing abilities. By equipping skill stones, you can unlock new skills or power up existing ones.
Multiple Game Modes
Summoners War: Lost Centuria offers a few options to choose from when it comes to game modes. The first option is Challenge-mode with PvP duels. Here, you go up against players from all over the world.
You can also play the Dual-mode to continue getting some real-time battle action. It has a Regular Battle where you get victory points once you win and a Goodwill Battle that allows you to enjoy stress-free PvP battles against your guild members.
If you want to get some PvE action, the Single-mode is for you. It is the story campaign of the game and has two types of missions. In Siege Battle, you challenge AI formations on the world map to win manna stones, but the story challenges in this section remain locked until you reach specific player levels. The Wanted arena has you challenging boss monsters.
Once you reach player level-2, you will unlock the Territory tab to access other non-battle-related content, including the magic shop where you can buy monster cards with mana stones and crystals.
You can also participate in alliance activities, which are more like the guild system of the game. From the trading post, players request and give up cards to allies. By supporting your friends with the unit cards you do not need, you get coins to spend in the alliance shop. Here, you can buy mystical dust, enhancement scrolls, hero cards, skills stones, and glory tokens.
Tips and Tricks for Playing Summoners War: Lost Centuria on PC
• Complete Daily Quests & Challenges
The daily quests section provides a list of tasks to complete. For example, you could get challenges that state conditions such as craft one rune, purchase any item from the alliance shop, upgrade four heroes, and so on.
Once you finish the daily quest, you will be able to collect a random reward. Keep in mind that the daily quests reset every 24 hours, so make sure to complete and claim your prize on time.
On the other hand, Challenges reward you with summon crystals once you accomplish any of the listed objectives.
• Upgrade Your Heroes
As you play the game, you will collect multiple copies of the same hero or monster. Once you get the required number of cards, you can upgrade the character for a price. For this, you will spend manna stones obtained from completing missions.
Make sure to upgrade your heroes and monsters. Doing so not only levels up your characters but also provides experience points and boosts their ATK, DEF, and HP stats.
• Craft Runes
Besides the base stats that get enhanced from upgrading your heroes, you can also get a boost in accuracy (ACC), resistance (RES), as well as Critical Rate (CRIT Rate), and Critical Damage (Crit DMG) by engraving runes on cards. You can make these resources in the crafting building too. Depending on your level, there are low, mid, or high runes to make from scratch. They cost Mystical Dust, which you can obtain from the Mission Office by sending your characters for passive expeditions.
• Master Element Attributes
Like previous releases of the series, Summoners War: Lost Centuria also features the element system. It represents character factions. These elements include fire, wind, water, light, and dark.
Some of the elements have an advantage over others. For instance, fire defeats wind but not water. Water takes out fire but not wind. Also, wind overcomes water but not fire. Finally, light and dark factions have an advantage over each other during attack moves.
Using the characters with the superior elements against your enemies can change the tide of battle in your favor.
