A Collection of Mini-Games
Squid Master is a free action game published by Sunday.gg that lets players play in a series of mini-games. Each one is unique from the previous challenge, with some offering some hilarious tasks to accomplish.
Beat the giant doll in the first quest but running toward it only when it is looking away and stopping dead in your tracks when it looks forward. In this first challenge, you have to play by these rules or get zapped with a laser. You will then move on to play tug of war, run on suspended tiles, and carve out a piece of pie in a particular shape.
The remaining mini-games include throwing marbles into a hole, engaging in a slapping challenge, dashing for cash on a dangerous platform, and trying to escape a box by pushing buttons.
Prison Art Style
When it comes to the art style, Squid Master uses cartoon graphics. However, it also takes on a prison setting where dangerous games are taking place. The game’s graphics bring this to life in various subtle ways. For instnace, the players wear a uniform. They also have inmate numbers on the back and have gun-wielding characters guarding them. In some of the mini-games, like the marble and pie cutting challenges, the red uniformed guards even shoot losers in the head after failing in their attempts to play.
Simple Game Controls
As for the game controls, Sunday.gg made their game easy to play. For the most part, gameplay involves using navigation controls or performing a single action by tapping, dragging & dropping, swiping, or holding down on your phone’s screen.
The game controls are easy to replicate with a keyboard and mouse. So, there is no reason why you should not try playing Squid Master on your PC. What’s more, a tutorial with screen tips guides you while playing the mini-games for the first time to shorten the learning curve.
Tips & Tricks for Playing Squid Master on PC
• Be a Follower in Tile Challenge
When playing the Tile challenge, you don’t have to rely on luck. Try being a bit more strategic to increase the odds of winning. By allowing other players to take the lead, you will know which platforms are safe to hop on because those that step on the wrong ones will fall off after breaking tiles.
• Use the Aiming Aid
In the mini-game where you try to throw a marble into a hole, the aiming function will show a dotted arc. It indicates the trajectory of your toss and the landing spot. Make sure to use it to your advantage. You can aim for the hole directly or take into account the distance the marble might bounce and roll on the ground.
• Focus on the Doll’s Head
Squid Master offers a very erratic Red Light Green Light challenge. Even though auditory cues assist players to know when it is safe to move and when to freeze, the duration of each segment varies unpredictably. To avoid getting caught off-guard, time your movement based on the doll’s head motions.
• Dodge Obstacles
In the final cash run challenge, you dash towards the doll head perched on a platform while collecting cash along the way. However, there are swinging pendulums and laser beams from the doll’s eyes that you have to avoid. Keep that in mind while running and try as much as possible to avoid the obstacles while using the navigation controls.
