How to play
How to play Sky Roller on PC (3 Easy Steps):
Become a Sky Roller Skater
If an afternoon out at the skating rink is something you enjoy, Sky Roller is a game you can get behind. And, just as the game’s name implies, this time roller skating takes to the skies. When you start playing, you get a skating path that is quite high above ground in the city. As such, it will have you cruising past skyscrapers in the backdrop.
You are required to guide your character without falling. Therefore, it is a straightforward concept and comes with simple graphics to match. Whether you choose to play Sky Roller for PC or on your mobile device, one thing is for sure: there are lots of short fun runs to enjoy in this game.
Avoid Obstacles and Grab Diamonds
The catch with Sky Roller is that you will not just be skating through the game’s huge virtual world. A crucial part of playing involves collecting diamonds (the game’s only currency). At the same time, you have to dodge obstacles that will knock you off your feet.
The obstacles come in different shapes and sizes. What’s more, they are scattered randomly over the skating surface. To avoid the obstacles, you will have to skate around some, jump over others, and roller skate along small spaces in other instances.
Controlling your character is very easy. You only need to drag your finger left to right over screen to stretch out the legs. Alternatively, a reverse of the motion will get your player’s feet back together when you and are aiming to grab diamonds lined up on a straight path.
Moreover, the Gameplay happens over an array of levels. Each stage offers different goals. For some levels, you are required to collect a specific number of diamonds (50, 62, etc). In others, the target would be acquiring three keys. There are up to 30+ levels to complete, with each one challenging you a little further. Therefore, there is a lot to look forward to as you advance further into the game.
Collect Game Characters
When playing Sky Roller for PC or mobile, you have the freedom of choosing from an array of characters. However, the game only provides one free skater. So, you will have to earn the rest. You will first get to common & random characters before acquiring the heroes. You unlock the first two options with the right amount of diamonds. On the other hand, heroes are a little hard to acquire since you need to collect them via chests that appear randomly.
Tips & Tricks for Playing Sky Roller for PC
- Aim for Zero Hits
A huge chunk of play in Sky Roller entails maneuvering around and between obstacles. Consequently, you must avoid bumping into these obstacles at all cost. Although it does not have any impact on your character (save from hitting the ground face first in hilarious fashion), crashing into an obstacle will send you back to the previous level. Sometimes you are even sent back a couple of levels when you mess up.
- Perfect Controlling your Character
Sky Roller comes advertised as so easy to play that you simply need to drag your finger left to right to stretch out and contract your character’s legs as needed. However, when you start playing, you will soon realize that the gameplay is actually much easier said than done. The dragging movements have to be very precise. Hence, if you move your finger even an inch further to the right than needed, your character will end up missing the diamonds or worse, crash into an obstacle or fall off the skating path. You will save yourself a ton of missed diamonds not to mention embarrassing tumbles if you work on mastering control over the spread of your character’s legs from the get go.
- Get to the Bonus Levels
Every now and then, the game throws in bonus levels. Make it a point to play every last one of these levels. You will earn extra diamonds, which you can use to add onto your list of characters or customize their roller skates. You, however, must be fast and reactive to get to a bonus level.
- Play Offline
Lastly, if you want to enjoy Sky Roller uninterrupted, turn off your Wi-Fi. The game has quite a number of ads that pop up during play.
