Build Fortresses for Tower Defense Battles
Imagine a world where islands float on the high seas and move like ships to help savage civilizations pursue conquests of epic proportions. Siege Castles, a tactical tower-defense game by Plug in Digital, immerses you into such a realm.
Your adventure will start with building a castle on your island. Construction involves using simple drag & drop controls. For instance, you go to the wood room, select a component for the structure you want to build, and place it on the chosen site. There are walls, strong rooms, and even decorations to spruce up your castle. You can even deconstruct and rebuild areas that are not pleasing to the eye or serving you well.
Arming your castle is also one of the core features of this game. Once ready for battle, you will have to fight other fortresses. Leave opponent structures in ruins or defenseless, and victory will be yours.
There are plenty of rewards to gain after laying siege to rival castles. You can loot the defeated foes to get gold (the price for setting up buildings on the island), moonstone (which buys weapons or skips time on island tasks), power, & treasure chests.
Battle with Mythical & Medieval Weapons
The weaponry used in Siege Castles makes the game fun to play. Once you are happy with how your castle looks, you can begin to arm it with all kinds of warfare equipment.
The medieval theme of the game introduces options like boulder-throwing catapults, cannons, ballistas, and trebuchets. You can invoke magical spells as well to create arcane shields, waterfall waves, and much more.
After you build a forge, this will open up the function that allows you to merge items in your castle. Combining different materials like stone, iron, and wood with crystals can create black holes, arcane rooms, and other unique weapons.
Grow Your Empire
Another feature that makes Siege Castles engaging to play is the ability to customize your kingdom. Besides tending to your castle, you will also be able to take care of villagers like a benevolent ruler, and in the process, grow your empire. For instance, they can cultivate fields to grow crops. In return, this will help to keep your troops well fed, which will surely pay dividends by boosting their morale when it comes time to loot other islands.
Tips & Tricks for Playing Siege Castles on PC
• Leave Room for Weapons
When building castles, you have a limited number of points to use. They diminish each time you add an item to your structure. Although it can be tempting to exhaust all your building points to put up an impressive and elaborate castle, bear in mind that you will also need to leave some rooms for weapons. Besides, a massive fortress will not do much if it is not fortified enough to survive an onslaught. Therefore, always make sure to spare building points for adding weapons, especially bearing in mind that that you will acquire battle equipment gradually.
• Place Catapults on Different Levels
Sometimes catapults release boulders at the same time. The net effect of that is that both rocks will collide mid-air before reaching either end to hit the enemy castles. To avoid this from happening often, make sure to have your catapults set up on different levels. That way, boulders traveling at a higher altitude will have an unobstructed path towards the target.
• Balance Offense & Defense
Raining on opponents with a flurry of boulders, cannons, and arrows can seem like a lot of fun, especially when you end up with a spectacular victory. However, don’t ignore other weapons that help to defend your castle. For instance, the arcane shield creates a buffer around your fortress for a brief period to bounces back arrows and rocks, effectively turning enemy fire into a weapon. On the other hand, a garrison will hold up to 10 melee ground troops.
Remember, you never know if the next opponent will be packing more firepower than you. Therefore, create a balance between your defensive and offensive weapons to increase your odds of winning.
• Get More Workers
You can assign workers to buildings and other facilities in the villages. For example, farmers will tend to the fields once you set up a farm to grow crops. Keep in mind, though, that tasks on the island take time to complete. The period it takes to lapse before any activity reaches completion depends on how many workers you have. The more muscle you have, the faster your tasks will get completed.
