Slice & Dodge your Way to Victory

The rules of play in Samurai Flash are simple; slice and dodge your way to the finish line. In this amazing game developed by Supersonic Studios, you have to run all the way to a checkered finish line. But, ther is a catch. Unlike a regular race, there are red enemies and bosses standing between you and the finish line.

Some enemies wait for you with melee weapons (chair, bat, guitar, etc) in hand. On the other hand, others fire bullets, canisters, arrows, boulders, missiles, and even ninja throwing star daggers, at you. To get to the end, you will have to slice everything in your way (including projectiles and structures) and dodge what you cannot slice.

The samurai character you play in the game runs with swords drawn out on either hand. So, you only need to run within arm’s length of a target to slice it. Enemies can also be taken out by knocking them down with your body, or slicing the pillar or watchtower they are standing on.

Cool Set of Skills to go with Your Character

Samurai Flash provides you with skills befitting a samurai warrior. First off, your samurai is blessed with excellent swordsmanship skills that enable you to slice bullets and throwing stars right out of the air. Additionally, you are equipped with speed that makes it look like the rest of the characters (i.e. enemies and bosses) are moving in slow motion.

Another skill you get to enjoy in the game is a time-stopping ability. Thanks to this feature, time in the game stops when you stop and moves at whatever speed you are playing at. This gives you the freedom to play the game at your own pace. For instance, you can slow down the speed of an incoming projectile long enough for it to explode or for you to get out of the line of fire.

With Samurai Flash, you also get the chance of adding your own personal touch to your character as well. Offered is an array of blades plus skins with looks that range from avator depictions, to cute animal costumes, to suit clad samurai. The swords are bought using what you earn during play while skins are unlocked one at a time at the gradual rate of 10% after every round of play.

Multiple Levels with Different Layouts

Another cool thing about Samurai Flash for PC is that things never get dull in the game. Although the levels are a little short, they all feature a different layout and goal (e.g. rescuing a hostage), giving you something unique to discover with each round. Boss rounds are the toughest and appear at every fourth level of play.

Samurai Flash on PC – Beginner’s Guide, Trips, & Tricks

• Focus on the End Game

The fun part of Samurai Flash is slicing and dicing everything in your path even if it is a harmless patch of grass. However, you do not need to. Completing a round only requires you to accomplish the end game (i.e. cross the finish line, rescue a hostage, or take down a boss). Therefore, if you find yourself under heavy fire or facing more enemies than you can handle, find the quickest way to the end.

• Stop When Overwhelmed

With Samurai Flash, your most powerful weapon is stopping play or slowing down. Doing this gives you a chance to view an attack’s trajectory. It also lets you master how to avoid it, or gauge an enemy’s approach and change your own direction to get a good slice in. Slowing things down is a good fall back weapon when you find yourself overwhelmed during a particularly hard level.

• Learn From Your Mistakes

The secret to going far in Samurai Flash for PC is to learn from your errors. The game gives you a chance to retry a level over and over until you are successful. To avoid wasting too much time on retries, you should take note of what caused you to lose the first time around. Once you identify the error of your ways, make sure to take a different approach.

For example, if running to your right caused you to run straight into a bullet turn left the next time. It is only by changing up your strategy that you will be able to find the way through a difficult level.

• Look Before you Leap

Finally, keep in mind that there are levels in Samurai Flash that require you to jump from one platform to another. Some are blind jumps with a guaranteed safe landing although you will not be able to immediately see where you are going. With other leaps, you will have to jump in a very specific direction or else end up falling into nothingness and consequently lose that round. Because of this, you should always stop to look before jumping. If there is no end in sight jump, however if there are multiple platforms on the other side, aim for the nearest.

It is also possible to tumble off the edge of a regular level and fall to your death. This can happen when you run too close to the edge or slice down pillars along and edge and inadvertently fall off. So, you ought to be mindful of the edge while playing.
