Save Calindor From Doom
From the same developers that gifted us with great MMORPGs like Era of Celestials and Phantoms: Tang Dynasty comes yet another epic game by the title Forsaken World: Gods and Demons. And, what better way to rope in prospective players than with an adrenaline-pumping introduction?
The game starts with an action-packed cinematic scene depicting a battle between naval vessels that somehow fly. During the brawl, the Lionheart Knights suffered a massive blow after a dragon attacked their airship. While falling from the sky, they got sucked through a portal and survived the fall. However, the pyrrhic victory left them stuck in Calindor with wounded soldiers and no supplies.
However, the predicament you are in turns out to be a blessing in disguise for this realm. Your combat skills will help to stop ogres, wraiths, orcs, crystal beasts, and all manner of monsters keeping the Forsaken World under a chaotic and violent siege.
Explore a Vast Open Game World
The Forsaken World is vast and full of mythical creatures. Your adventures will take you from the Dilapidated Lands to the Temple of Genesis and beyond. Along the way, you will meet all kinds of non-playing characters. Almost everyone seems to have a task for you, and foes wait to ambush you at every corner of the land. You will do battle and lay waste to hoards of evil enemies, all while exploring the lovely landscapes.
Players can expect the quintessential features of an engaging MMORPG. You will go through the storyline that leads to combat missions through auto-pathing to unlock skills, collect artifacts, stop rampaging monsters, and lift curses.
Besides getting around on foot, you can choose from a variety of cool mounts. Love horseback riding? Well, the Forsaken World is home to unicorns that will help you travel much faster.
You can also take to the skies by hopping on the back of a Gryphon and other legendary creatures that fly. Once you reach level 47, you will get a pair of eagle wings as well. And, on some occasions, you will teleport from one location to the next in an instant.
Furthermore, Forsaken World: Gods and Demons offers PvP cross-server battles of grand proportions. Create an alliance or join a guild to take part in massive battles where groups fight one another for glory or brawl over land and resources.
When you want to take a break from all the fighting, you can trade with other players to get more goods, catch some fish under the shade, interact with the cheerful dwarfs to acquire spirits, or soothe the soul by listening to some elven music.
Characters Class and Customization Options
Another fantastic feature to expect in Forsaken World: Gods and Demons is the ability to select a character archetype that suits your combat style.
The game features seven class options, each one having two specializations that you can switch between freely after reaching level-29.
For starters, there is the Ranger, a skilled archer of Elven descent. He specializes in the Sharpshoot sub-class known for deadly accuracy over long distances. Alternatively, you could choose to play the Jungle ranger who channels the force of nature to summon jungle beasts in battle.
The second ranged unit is the Gunner. It is a female class with a title that speaks for itself. The Gunner loves technology and uses guns to dispatch her enemies. Although fragile, she packs quite some firepower.
As the gunslinger specialty, you will be able to remain calm in moments of crisis by relying on speed and precision. On the other hand, the Artificer sub-class unleashes armored machines like cannons and bots to blow up enemies to smithereens.
The third class, which is quite rare to find in an MMORPG, is the Vampire. Don’t expect any blood-suckers, though. The Vampire commands deadly bats and flames or takes on enemies with impressive martial arts.
He can play as the Shadowcrafter or Flamebringer. The former embraces the darkness, lurking in the shadows to maintain peace by using summoning skills. The latter uses melee combat moves enhanced with the power of fire to best enemies.
An ambassador of hope, the Priest is an excellent choice if you want to play a supportive role. She has more offensive power when specializing as the Celestial sub-class. In contrast, the Oracle Priest sacrifices herself to take on more damage and heal allies.
This dagger-wielding hunter can be a real piece of work. He sneaks up on enemies to deliver lethal stabs.
As a Shadow Rogue, you will be a master of stealth and infiltration, capable of lurking in the shadows and ambushing enemies.
On the flip side, the Assassin excels in both open battle and rogue skills. Although this subclass will work for players who like to attack in a ceaseless frenzy and overpower enemies, keep in mind that the Rogue is one of the weakest offensive classes.
With her enchanted arcane staff, the Mage casts spells from a distance to subdue enemies. As the Elementalist, she can control the elements and attack with forces of nature like lightning bolts. The Arcanist, on the other hand, breaks rules of the natural order through divination and space-time manipulation to crush enemies.
Masters of the sword, the Warrior slay enemies with his trusty blade. He is the more powerful choice compared to Rogue if you want to overwhelm your rivals with sheer might. The Warrior can play as the rampaging Paladin sub-class or change to the more defensive Hexblade.
Regardless of which class that best suits your playstyle, you can customize all your characters in Forsaken World: Gods and Demons with some powerful tools. Apart from tweaking the eyes, hair, and skin complexion, you can even choose a facial expression for your hero.
There are outfits to collect as well, which not only make your character stand out but also help to increase overall battle power.
