Master the Art of Dragonery
Developed by BEKKO GAMES, Dragon Tamer is a simulation game that is all about what the title suggests. It introduces players to a world teeming with dragons, and the aim is to raise these creatures while preparing them for endless battles of supremacy.
You will buy dragon eggs and place them in the hatchery, where they incubate. Every dragon needs time to hatch, but you can spend gems to speed things up.
Some dragons become available after your character attains certain levels, but the easiest way to get more creatures is through breeding.
Every dragon has a corresponding element that it inherits. However, you can breed two different species to produce new offspring. It takes time, but spending gems speeds up the process. Once done, you get a dragon egg. Hatchlings are usually weak. As the dragon tamer, it’s your responsibility to feed them so that they can grow stronger.
With continued feeding, the dragons level up & become battle-ready. Dragons also have combat skills. New skills unlock after upgrading your dragon to certain levels.
Create a Dragon Wonderland
Another fun aspect of playing Dragon Tamer is that you get an island to build. Your fire-breathing pets will need a place to call home. Dragons are specific to habitats. For example, the fire habitat is home to raging fire dragons, and the water habitat is for aquatic types like Trixie.
You can build a nature, fire, water, electric, earth, metal, sacred, dark, or light habitat by placing it on the island, which costs gold.
Besides dragon habitats, there are other items to include on your island using coins. These include farms to plant dragon food, dragon trees, huts for workers’ (they help you build), orchards, plus water, fire, & nature towers, etc. There are also decorative items like tiles, flags, bushes, stone piers, paving stones, among others, to help you give your dragon island a facelift.
Farms are essential because your dragons have to eat continually. Once done with planting, you tap on the farms to collect fruit.
There are various kinds of crops to plant. They also cost different amounts of gold and have varying production times. However, using crystals accelerates plant growth. You can get these items from the inventory.
The locations dragons live in also produce limited reserves of gold that you have to collect in time. By upgrading habitats, you can increase their max gold and dragon capacity.
Other buildings on the island will require continuous upgrading as well.
Dominate in Dragon Combat Duels
When it comes to the combat aspect of this game, Dragon Tamer offers turn-based duels. The battles between two teams can have up to five creatures per side. Dragons come in different tiers, namely common, uncommon, rare, epic, and legendary, in order of rarity. The higher the rank, the stronger the dragon will be in battle.
Each side takes damage when the opponents attack. You earn victory by being the first one to deplete the health or HP of each enemy dragon. In combat, triumph comes with dragon food, gold, and character EXP.
Every dragon has three skills to choose from, with the first one being available for use at any time. However, it is generally weak, so you will have to rely on the other abilities, which are more powerful. The catch, however, is that they have a cool-down period. That means, once used, skills two and three become deactivated for a few turns.
Mastering your dragon skills and strategizing on the best ways to use them is the key to becoming the ultimate dragon tamer.
Tips & Tricks for Playing Dragon Tamer on PC
• Accomplish Your Quests
A smart way to progress fast in Dragon Tamer is by focusing on the tasks listed under the quest tabs. You can launch missions directly from the goals section. When you accomplish them, this will offer you more gold and character experience points (exp). You can also prioritize working on the conditions listed under achievements and daily quests to earn even more rewards.
• Master the Element Effectiveness Chart
If an element is powerful against another one, the dragon skill used can cause more damage. For example, water overpowers fire, fire razes through nature, and so on.
The dragons in this game belong to nine elements. These include dark, light, fire, water, nature, earth, psychic, and electric.
Make sure to master the element effectiveness chart, including how hybrid dragons match up against opponents. Use that knowledge to create battle strategies that work for different situations.
• Keep Leveling Up Your Dragons
As mentioned earlier, dragons level up as you feed them. Moreover, this gives the creatures a boost in attack, defense, and HP stats. As a result, your squads become increasingly powerful and capable of beating tough opponents. If you ignore the importance of leveling up your dragons, you risk losing battles.
• Manage Your Dragon Island Wisely
Although players have free reign in managing their dragon islands, keep in mind that there is a limit on the number of habitats you can build. When you reach it, consider selling off unwanted habitats to make room for new ones. Upgrading the remaining ones will boost capacity as you make room for homes that will accommodate new dragon breeds.
