How to play Dragon Heroes Tactics on PC (3 Easy Steps):
Turn-Based Combat RPG
In today’s post, you will learn about a brand new grid/direction-based strategy RPG published by Perple Inc, which goes by the title Dragon Heroes Tactics. If you are reading this article, then you’ve probably heard about the game and are wondering what it is all about. Well, this guide will highlight everything you need to know and also offers tips, tricks, along with instructions on how to play Dragon Heroes Tactics for PC.
As mentioned right off the bat, this is a strategy combat game. You should also know that it pits players from all over the world against each other in real-time one-on-one. When you first begin, you get the opportunity to set up your board and how you want your heroes arranged. Players take turns to attack or mount a counter during a match. What’s more, you can move and attack in the same turn. The goal is to wipe out every last unit from the opponent’s side. Therefore, the last team left standing comes out victorious.
The game has an auto-play function. You can get away with it as long as you have a robust formation or hero selection.
Diverse Hero Choices
When it comes to heroes, this game offers a diverse selection to choose from, so you won’t be disappointed. Generally, you will be able to pick from four hero archetypes, namely tanks, support, balanced, and DPS units.
When you first acquire heroes, they will all be at different levels depending on the grade. For example, silver grade heroes start at the lowest level 1. On the other hand, legendary heroes have the highest initial tier of level 7. In between, you can acquire the gold and magic heroes that start at levels 3 and 5, respectively.
Keep in mind, though, that the grade doesn’t necessarily make a hero weak. The magic and legendary heroes may seem stronger but take longer to upgrade because winning cards for these heroes is rare. In contrast, you are more likely to obtain silver and gold heroes more frequently, which makes these lower grade characters easier and faster to level up.
Although heroes in this game have different attributes, each one will have only three types of skills at their disposal. The basic skill is always available to use when it is your turn. You can also unleash some special skills. However, this ability is only available to use if its corresponding gauge is full, and once utilized, it has a cooldown effect. Lastly, heroes earn new sub-skills upon reaching levels 6, 11, and 15.
Depending on the hero you choose, every skill has a different damage range and direction. For instance, Cain’s basic attack deals damage to everyone in front of him in a straight line while his special skill causes AOE (area of effect) damage on a larger scale.
Multiple Game Modes
You can install Dragon Heroes for PC as described at the beginning of this post and, at the same time, have the game installed on your iOS or Android device to keep playing even when on the move. The good thing about this game is that it has lots of gameplay modes to test your wits.
At first, you get to compete against the AI in the game’s story campaign know as the Scenario Mode. Think of it as an opportunity to practice since it prepares you for the tougher PvP battles. Once you clear the first ten levels, then the next two modes will unlock.
The battleground mode pits you against real players. You start to earn ladder points, which rank you so that the game can automatically match you with similarly skilled players.
Challenge Events is the other multiplayer mode that you get to unlock later on. It offers time-limited matches with special victory conditions. For example, you may enter into a Challenge Event that requires the winner to be the first side that take out three enemy heroes.
Furthermore, you can also take part in quests. These are free, random missions that pop-up every 36 hours. If you don’t like the objective assigned, you can always spend rubies to take on another quest. Quests are optional, but make sure to take part because you get a chance to win quest points, which can buy quest crates that contain bigger rewards.
Tips & Tricks for Playing Dragon Heroes Tactics on PC
Collect Rewards From Crates
In this game, you can get three types of crates that contain rubies, gold, runes, as well as hero cards and shards. Firstly, the victory crates are a common prize for winning battles in all the different modes. These loot chests require keys to open. However, the good news is that you get at least one free key every two hours. The silver, gold, magic, and legendary victory chests require 1, 2, 4, and 8 keys to open, respectively.
Secondly, you can also obtain star crates every day at 00:00 and 12:00 hours (GMT +9). However, you must accumulate at least 20 stars by winning matches to qualify for these types of crates.
Lastly, there are free crates that you obtain every 4 hours. Keep in mind that star and free crates do not require keys to open. It is essential to keep opening crates as soon as possible because you can only have a maximum of four at any given them. Once all slots are full, it is not possible to obtain any additional crates.
Level Up Your Heroes
Make sure to upgrade/level-up your heroes because that is how you get stronger in this game. Once you have multiple copies of a particular hero card, then you will be able to level up. However, this will also cost gold. The number of cards required to upgrade a hero will depend on that character’s tier/grade. Besides winning challenges, you can acquire upgrade cards by exchanging hero shards.
It is smart to upgrade the heroes you use most first. Leveling up your fighters not only increases their stats but also unlocks new sub-skills when they reach certain milestone levels.
One invaluable reward that you get for winning the matches in Dragon Heroes Tactics is runes. These resources are color-coded. Also, runes enhance all the stats for a particular hero archetype. For example, red runes apply to all DPS heroes, whereas yellow runes are for balanced heroes. In the same vein, blue and green runes will boost stats for your tanks and support heroes, respectively.
Create a Solid Team
The heroes in this game have different strengths and weaknesses, depending on the archetype. Since every unit type has unique attributes, you want to have good synergy between the heroes. Therefore, it is prudent to make sure that your battle line-up consists of heroes that can complement each other. For instance, healers are your weakest units, so have them tucked behind the tanks, which usually possess high HP. A good team should also include DPS heroes because these heroes dish out the most damage.
You can have up to five fighters on the battlefield. As a result, you are free to fill the remaining two slots with the same types of heroes or throw in the balanced units, depending on your gameplay style or strategy.
