Fight Zombie Clowns
Don Matón is a simple combat action game that pits your character against a slew of zombie clowns. These freaks overrun the streets of this in-game world. You have to help Don the thug make his way through by laying waste to every last one of them.
At first, you begin the game unarmed and have to fight with nothing but your bare fists. Later on, you will be able to get your hands on a weapon to have a better chance of survival against the ever-increasing zombies. There is even an option to unleash your attack dog when the numbers are too overwhelming.
Once you complete a series of missions, Don’s partner in crime will be waiting at the other end with a getaway car.
As you complete missions, you earn some cash that can purchase new weapons. The choices range from pistols and shotguns to submachine guns, assault rifles, and more. Ammo and other items are also available for purchase from the in-game shop.
Every firearm has a price tag and only becomes available for purchase if you have enough cash reserves to afford it. The cost varies depending on weapon stats like level, damage, and scope. As you progress through the game, weapons acquired later on will have better performance.
2D Arcade-Style Graphics
One striking feature that makes Don Matón quite attractive to play is the art style. Although the cartoon-like 2D graphics may not look as realistic as 3D visuals found in other games, they still have a charm of their own. The art style in this game is reminiscent of some of the early generation arcade games. Therefore, avid gaming fans can enjoy the nostalgic experience that this game seems to evoke.
The simple graphics also make it easy to play. Movements are simple because you can only move right or left. On the other hand, the missions are linear, meaning you only need to get from one starting point to the end.
Tips & Tricks for Playing Don Matón on PC
• Aim for the Head
The quickest way to neutralize zombies in Don Matón is by shooting them in the head. All it takes is one headshot to drop these walking-dead freaky clowns. Headshots save on ammunition. They also help you to keep the zombie numbers contained before they become too overwhelming.
• Collect Zombie Cash Drops
Besides the payout you get for completing a mission, slain zombies also drop extra money on the battle arena. You have to walk over these sacks and bundles of cash to claim them. Make sure not to leave any stash behind because the bonus money will go a long way in helping you acquire better weapons to add to your armory.
• Watch Out for Those Flames
The streets in the world of Don Matón are full of chaos. On some occasions, you will encounter raging fires. Avoid walking into these infernos because they cause damage to your character and can even end his life, resulting in a failed mission.
• Pick Up Gift Boxes
Another type of drop to look out for when playing the game is the occasional gift box that pops up while you are in the middle of a battle. Similarly, you have to walk over the wrapped present to collect it, just like you do when claiming cash drops. Usually, these boxes contain weapons that are not in your armory. You will be able to try them out for the current mission to get a taste of what it is like to use them.
