If you are a big fan of multiplayer FPS (first-person shooter) games, then Cover Hunter – 3v3 Team Battle is a new title from developer Top Actions that is worth checking out. As the title implies, the game pits three players against a similar-sized team in a battle where everyone comes armed with a firearm. Each match requires your team to score a specific number of eliminations. Once you achieve the goal, you win gems that unlock new weapons and buy upgrades.
The game controls are easy to master. Besides the navigation joystick for moving your character around the arena, you will also have buttons to fire your gun, run, switch weapons, and select other battle items.
Although Cover Hunter is available on the app store and Google play, you can install it on your PC as well using the instructions in this guide. After installing the game, the best part is that you can play it entirely offline.
Diverse Weapons to Unlock
From assault rifles to sub-machine guns to pistols and more, there are plenty of weapons in this game. You acquire guns by spending gems or real money. Additionally, you may get some of the firearms from rewards. The wide range of weapons on offer will keep you coming back for more because each rifle is different. Besides coming with unique skin art, all the guns differ when it comes to the stats. For example, some rifles inflict more damage. On the other hand, others offer better clip size, rapid-fire rate, or faster reload time. Over time, you will stock your arsenal with plenty of rifles to choose from, so keep clearing as many levels as possible.
Different Maps to do Battle
Cover Hunter treats players to 3D graphics with realistic animations and engaging sound effects. For instance, the sound of gunfire rents the air when combatants spot each other on the battlefield and start shooting. You will also see the gunmen reload their rifles after emptying the cartridge. What’s more, the battlefields depict real-life environments. Once you complete all the missions in one episode, another arena will unlock.
Tips & Tricks for Playing Cover Hunter on PC
Upgrade Your Combat Level
With some gems, you can buy combat level upgrades by visiting the talents section from your main menu. In return, this increases health, combat power, and levels up your stats. Several stats relate to your combat level. For instance, you can upgrade strength, bullets, rapid-fire, reload time, among other attributes. Therefore, make sure to improve all areas of your combat level to increase performance all round.
Use the Radar
On the top left portion of your screen, there is the radar, which shows your current location and enemy positions. When you see red dots close by, it means combatants from the rival team are not far behind. Keep checking the radar to avoid being caught by surprise.
For every enemy that you take out with a headshot, you get a bonus of 50 gems. As a result, try to eliminate your opponents as much as possible with such shots. Keep in mind, though, that it is easier to aim for headshots when enemies get close.
When shot, the soldier under your control takes damage, and you will see the health value next to the heart icon decrease. You can replenish it by consuming the first-aid healing packs. Use this tactic when your health drops very low to avoid dying and losing the level.
Take Out Multiple Rivals at Once
Sometimes rivals can come toward your position as a unit. When two or more enemies come at you this way, you can hurl a grenade to take them out all at once. It is much easier, and you don’t have to focus on shooting multiple opponents one at a time. More importantly, you will take less damage with this approach.
