Strategic War Role-Playing Game
There are plenty of things to love about construction management war games. You can get quick a kick from the sense of accomplishment that comes from building your town from the ground up, the pride of raising a formidable army, and the satisfaction of toppling other kingdoms and becoming the most powerful leader of a game’s world. With Blood Throne, you get to enjoy all this, albeit through an idle style genre.
Blood Throne is an analytical fantasy game that simulates aspects of warfare at a strategic level. In the game, your homeland is under invasion by demons. You will play a Lord who takes charge of leading a team of heroes in reclaiming invaded villages and killing evil creatures. Battles play out automatically, as do non-battle endeavors like sending scouts to investigate fog areas and dispatching a team to repair farmland destroyed by the demons. The game provides you with your very own guide by the name of Merrie. She will offer her wise counsel on what to do at different stages of gameplay.
Recruit and Train an Army of Heroes
In Blood Throne, you only get one free hero (Hans) and a couple of foot soldiers. You will have to recruit more heroes by rescuing troubled villages.
With every village you help, you gain at least one hero and two complementary soldiers. As you build up heroes, you will be able to create multiple squads that you can dispatch to perform various tasks based on their attributes.
The game also enables you to build on a squad’s fighting prowess by training, increasing strength, and leveling up your heroes.
Tackle Internal Management Tasks
Aside from working on fortifying the defenses of your region, Blood Throne also puts you in charge of managing the internal affairs of your kingdom. For this, you get to upgrade various aspects of the castle, including Security, Military, Economy, and Research. You control when to make upgrades, which sections to improve, and by how much (i.e., how far to level-up).
The management aspect also includes expanding your kingdom/territory by helping out troubled settlements and bringing them under your control. You do this by tapping on burning villages and then dispatch a squad to take down all present demons in that area. The occupants of every settlement that you rescue will join you out of gratitude. For good measure, there is even a contract signed to move into your castle and come under your rule.
Beginners Guide Tips & Tricks for Playing Blood Throne on PC
• Follow Game Quests
Blood Throne allows for free-style play where you can take your own path in the game. It is, however, wiser to turn to the Quest button situated at the top left corner of the game screen. Featuring tasks like ‘raise castle to Lv 2’, ‘reach castle power of 200’, ‘reach hero power of 5000’, and ‘clear 40 fog areas’, quests map out a structured play that allows you to advance your kingdom at a nice pace. In addition to that, you gain substantial rewards (e.g., food x3000, population x1000, wood x300, gems x100 all in one go) by completing quests.
• Play Often
In this game, rewards come from completing quests and dispatching squads to battle. So, the more you play, the more you earn. In turn, this will get you enough resources (especially gems, which are a vital currency in the game) to accomplish important upgrade tasks and thus grow your empire quicker.
It is possible to actively search for demons (through a search button on the lower left side of this game’s screen) and dispatch heroes to battle them. The same button initiates searches for Farm & Forest areas, Quarries, and Gold Mines and sends out scouts to collect resources or lend a helping hand.
• Level up your Fighters Often
In Blood Throne, you can only handle a certain caliber of demons. The enemies you can take on depends on your squad’s level. For instance, a squad-level of 1 can only attack daemons below level 15.
To avoid a situation where your squad is too weak to save a nearby village, make it a point to upgrade your heroes often. You do this by tapping on the Hero button at the bottom of the screen. It will display your list of fighters as well as character upgrade options.
• Collect Your Daily Rewards
On the top right corner of the game’s screen is a daily reward button. It provides access to menus for World Exploration, Internal Development, Honing one’s strength, & Warhorn. You will be able to claim rewards once or even multiple times a day from one or more of the menus.
