Basketrio North American Server Released

Gaming publisher All9FUN (formerly known as Cube Magic) has finally released Basketrio: Back in the Game for North America fans on their own dedicated servers. This release offers all the features of the initial version that became a big hit in Asia.

It is about shooting hoops in the streets. Players get to show off their sick freestyle streetball skills playing a variety of game modes. If you are a team player, dominate the 3-on-3 half-court basketball matches, where you earn coins and proficiency for training your players.

You can play the more competitive ranked 3vs3 mode. It is a season-based tournament where you can receive sapphires, training manuals, and event costume tokens. There is also a court duel with the same number of players that offers rewards such as card redemption points and vouchers.

In 1v1 Bullfight, you get to pick three players but only control one of them during a match. With a ticket, you can enter the point match. Here, the winners receive contract shards, gold, and evolve coins. You can use these resources to purchase contracts to get new players or to upgrade existing ones.

All features Basketrio fans have come to love are also available in the Back in the Game installment. That means you can create your own trick moves, customize players with costumes or stylish accessories, and collect a cast of players with unique talents and turn them into streetball legends.

The best part is players don’t have to dive into the deep end right away when they start. The training ground in career mode offers quests for all the five positions you can play. It is excellent for beginners with no basketball background. The tutorial with demos provides practice challenges to understand more about the basic skills and each playing position.

5-Positions to Play

Another feature, already mentioned above, is that Basketrio: Back in the Game offers five areas to play on the court. The position you choose will determine your play style.

  • Center: Playing near the basket, the center tries to block shots and pick rebound balls. On offense, the player in this position tries to score through slam dunks and lay-ups.
  • Power Forward: The power forward also plays a similar role to the center by guarding big players close to the hoop. However, this position also takes mid-range jump shots and is the team’s most dependable scorer.
  • Small Forward: The most versatile players play this position. Quick and strong, they are good at driving to the basket, taking long shots, and aggressively attempting lay-ups, slam dunks, or post-ups to draw up fouls.
  • Point Guard: Although usually the shortest player, the PG is the heart and soul of the team. This playmaker is the best ball handler and passer, capable of making shots and assisting teammates.
  • Shooting Guard: Prolific from the 3-point range, the SG is good at taking long to mid-range shots.

Character Enhancement

Basketrio: Back in the Game offers an elaborate character enhancement system. It starts with the option to train your players using coins and proficiency in the ranked and normal game modes. Once they reach a certain training rank, they will unlock skills. These are moves you can use on the court, and they differ from one position to the next. With enough skill books and coins, you can also level up these abilities.

As you rank up and train your character, you will acquire stats points. These can be allotted to individual player attributes like stamina, mid-range shot, run, to name just a few. When it comes to scoring, base stats will determine the effectiveness of your character.

There are also tricks or fancy animations for dunking and shooting that you can acquire. They require diamonds to purchase and offer a slight advantage when used.

Characters have a passive skill as well. Linked to the Evolve system, these enhance your stars through the grades of Elite, Master, Rising Star, Super Star, and Legend. At the highest tier, your character can use up to a maximum of four passive skills.

Furthermore, cards are an extra feature, which boosts your characters. They offer enhancements similar to stats with the addition of a few unique attributes as well.

Cards have a rank system. They include C, B, A, and S from the lowest to the highest tier. Over time, you will gather multiple duplicate copies. You can disassemble unwanted S and A cards to get redemption points to exchange for any card of your choice. Merging five similar lower-tier cards synthesizes them into the successive rank. You can keep doing this until you get random A rank cards.

Tips & Tricks for Playing Basketrio: Back in the Game on PC

• Take Time Ranking Up S Rank Cards

When you acquire S cards, it is prudent not to rank them up right away. Instead, keep drawing and keep them in your inventory until you end up with a card that has the sub-stat that you want. That is the best time to level them up. It is the most efficient way to upgrade your S cards because resetting them is not cheap.

• Allocate Stats Points Wisely

The best way to use stats points is to allocate them based on the position of your character. For example, you may want to pay more attention to the block, contact, and rebound stats when playing as a center or power forward.

• Master the Block

Always make sure you are in the best place to block a shot. Using the wrong distance and timing could give the opponent an open 3-pointer shot if they use the fade-away skill. Keep in mind also that shooting guards are the weakest blockers. They are the only position that does not have the power block skill, but SGs can interrupt shots effectively.

• Complete Daily Quests

Besides the rewards you get for winning matches, you also get even more from the daily quests. These missions drop extra supplies based on your accomplishments every 24 hours. For instance, the daily quests could list challenges like win 2-matches, unlock 1-skill, participate in a particular game mode, and so on. Once you complete the daily missions, you can claim the rewards.
