How to play Ark Rivals on PC (3 Easy Steps):
Strategy Sci-Fi Game
The name Ark Rivals, says it all. In this game, you will find yourself in a battlefield surrounded by enemies with no one to count on except your brains and brawn. Artillery comes in the form of an Ark – a cool looking battle ship (the kind normally seen in space shooter games) with the ability of flying.
Just like you, millions of other players get their very own ark. And, these players too are dropped into the game’s vast wastelands. The task is to build your base, raise a squadron, and battle for supremacy by taking down everyone else. At the end of the day, the player with the best strategy will manage to conquer all and walk away with a chunk load of resources as the spoils of war. You can also join forces with other players and take on the gigantic monsters in real-time co-op battles.
Defend your Base and Attack others
The very first thing you will need to do in this game is to build a base. As per game rules, you can build 5 types of defense buildings and 3 kinds of resource buildings on your base. The goal is to make your base powerful enough to withstand the endless attacks that are sure to come your way.
The good news is that Ark Rivals for PC eases you into action by having you defend your base from computer-generated enemies at first. Later on, you will come head-to-head with real players who will have their bases established in the game. At this point battles get pretty heated up, more so in the later stages of the game. To emerge victorious, you will need to have amassed some serious fighting skills. And, this brings us to the other part of play –taking the fight to other players.
Attacking other bases charges up your special ability, which works to make you more powerful. It is also good practice that will help you better your play. What’s more, battles last for a limited time. Therefore, you have to obliterate the enemy fast.
Upgrade on the Regular
Another way of becoming more formidable is by upgrading your base regularly. Other players in the base will be doing the same, so you have to outdo them when it comes to forging a fortress.
You also build weapons and upgrade them to become more powerful. Since the process of upgrading takes a while, it is best left for just before you exit the game. Doing so will let the upgrade happen while you are offline and thus get straight to playing the next time you log in.
However, you can speed up the upgrade process by spending gems. You collect this currency by fighting enemies or from farms. So, there is a lot to go around and the gems will come in handy when you want to quickly beef up your base and weapons and get back to battling enemies as soon as possible.
Tips & Tricks for Playing Ark Rivals on PC
Be Strategic when setting up your Buildings
In Ark Rivals, defense buildings direct fire towards attacking enemies. On the other hand, loot structures hold your resources as well as supplies acquired during battle. Enemies attack with the intention of destroying your base and grabbing your stockpiles. So, you will want to ensure that there is one or even two defense buildings shielding every one of your resource buildings. It will give looters a hard time when they attack and ensure you do not lose too much of your resources following attacks (even if you have just faced a tough opponent).
Keep Your Base Well Defended
Of course, this goes without saying, but it must be reiterated. Your base (that big structure at your camp) is the most important thing in this game. Therefore, defend it at all costs. It is better to lose your resources than to have your base razed to the ground.
Protect your Primary Attack Ship During Battles
If your battleship gets blown up, you will suffer defeat. So, you must protect it with some good battle strategy. To begin with, fly out range when you see a missile coming your way. You also don’t want to fly too close to enemy defense structures. Make sure to use the ground troops as well. These include military armored vehicles and foot soldiers. They not only fire at enemy structures, but also serve as a shield.
Watch Replays to Improve your Game
The game itself relays this point as a tip as you advance in stages. So, you should take it seriously and do the leg work – i.e. head over to the left side of the screen, hit ‘Mail tab’, select ‘Attack Log’, choose the battle you want, and finally hit ‘Replay’.
Watching past battles gives you insight on where your defenses are solid, points on your base that are vulnerable, and what lacks in your attacks. Watching replays also gives you a chance to scout the opponents’ base setup and analyze their battle strategy. Take it as a reconnaissance mission, which readies you to take down future enemies faster and with ease.
