Idle Game with Quirky Graphics
Idle games tend to have that unique factor that draws you in gammers who like simple, casual tasks that can go on with minimal player intervention. With Hero Factory from PlayHard Lab, you get that and much more. The game will treat you to quirky graphics and evolving gameplay that is guaranteed to keep you busy.
The activities you will be involved in are easy enough to handle. In a nutshell, you only need to create your very own heroes and send them out to battle an array of monsters. With time, you will have to upgrade both your heroes and factories. The reason for that is because the monsters become harder to beat as advance through the levels.
For an idle game, things move rather quickly in Hero Factory. For one, heroes flow unceasingly from the factory and head out to the battlefield simultaneously. You can also speed up play by enabling Turbo mode. With this feature, you will have the advantage of producing heroes in seconds. Tapping the screen in rapid succession will activate turbo mode. Alternatively, you can also watch a video advertisement to keep this feature going for 30-minutes.
Multiple Hero Factories to Unlock
In this game, the more heroes you create, the more the battles you can go on, and consequently, the more gold you make. The good news is that you will never run out of heroes because multiple hero factories are waiting to be unlocked.
The game features a variety of hero types (Swordsmen, Archers, Gunners, Lancers, Axmen, and a whole lot more), all of whom go through creation in their own separate factory. By the time you get to the end of gameplay, you will have a ton of factories each churning out heroes continuously.
One thing to take note of is that bottom factory heroes deal more damage than those at the top factories. As a result, the bottom heroes should receive more priority when you begin upgrading your troops.
A Series of Missions to Play Through
Although Hero Factory is pretty straightforward, there are missions placed at the top right corner of the screen to help guide you, especially at the beginning of play. They include all manner of tasks such as getting your Swashbuckler (one of the hero categories) to level 25, buying a new factory, taking your Blade Masters to level 50, upgrading your queen factory to level 150, and so on.
New features will become available gradually as you complete missions. For example, you may unlock skills, tools to improve players, advanced factories, and more. Once you get the hang of the game, you can move away from the missions and forge your own path. Play instructions also pop up at the bottom of the screen from time to time.
Tips & Tricks for Playing Hero Factory on PC
Keep Strengthening Your Heroes
While there is plenty to do in this game, your primary focus should be on optimizing your heroes by continually increasing the damage they can inflict. You can do this by equipping better helmets and weapons, which will cost some of your earned gold to buy. Your troop of heroes will also get a massive boost upon reaching milestone levels 10, 25, 50, 75, and so on.
Give Your Factories Regular Upgrades
Another way to get stronger heroes is to upgrade your factory regularly. The higher the level of a factory, the more the amount and strength of heroes it will produce.
Play the Stone Matching Minigame Frequently
Hero Factory offers a little stone matching side play, which provides the best shot at maximizing boosts to your heroes. It involves merging two same-tier (similar looking) enchanted stones which you get by defeating monsters or leveling up a factory. The produced merge stone helps to enchant weapons and helmets, making them more powerful. You can even combine two or more pairs of merged stones to create a super-powerful stone that will deliver a mega boost.
There is an ENCHANT button at the bottom of the screen, which takes you to the stone matching minigame. Buttons for BATTLE, SKILL, STORE, and TRAINING, are also lined up alongside the enchant button.
Watch out for Rewards
From boosters that double your gold to ads that shower you with diamonds, to daily deals and chest draws (accessed by spending diamonds at the store), there are plenty of rewards offered throughout gameplay.
